Event | Coffee & Classics 2

CC2 Poster 560 Wide

On Saturday, 7th December, along with Globe, we will hold the second Fuel Magazine Coffee & Classics in Port Melbourne. Just like last time, ALL vehicles are welcome.. Euro, Japanese, US, Australian. Cars, bikes, trucks. You name it, you’re invited. What dictates a classic? Well.. as always, who’s to make the rules? But if you think it’s a classic, then surely it must be, right?

If you are part of a club or group who would like to come en mass, we’d love to hear from you. Drop us an email an advance so that we can make sure that you’re accommodated with a group spot.

What’s the order of the day? There isn’t one. Just come over, park up, grab a coffee and breakfast from the Salford Lads Club (and a neat trim from Uncle Rocco’s) and… socialise.

Click through below for a few snaps from CC1 early in the year. See you soon, and get in touch with any questions.

Event | Oil Stained Brain

Oil-Stained-Brain-2013 - Copy

This weekend, the newly established Kustom Kommune in Collingwood, Melbourne plays host to the 2nd annual Oil Stain Brain event. If last year’s was anything to go by, this will be a must see for sure. The party is this Saturday night, but the show is open all day Sat & Sun. But it is just those two days though, so make sure you get down there. Here are a few words from the guys themselves:

On Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd of November the second installation of Oil Stained Brain will be taking place. Oil Stained Brain is a motorcycle exhibition unlike any other. It’s a celebration of the skill, hard work and creative thinking that goes into building custom motorcycles and showcases a diverse mix of building styles from an eclectic group of Australian backyard builders. This year the event has moved to the outskirts of the CBD to Collingwood where it will take place at Australia’s first communal motorcycle workshop, the Kustom Kommune. Along with 30 new custom builds the exhibition will showcase a display of custom moto inspired photography from a hand picked group of local photographers, artwork by the latest edition to the Melbourne bike scene, Ornamental Conifer and live pin striping and paint demonstrations by Karl from KDS designs (who also happened to design that poster).

If you’re in Melbourne and into any type of custom building or simply have a soft spot for machines that roll on two wheels then you’ll want to head down to the show to get your fill.

What a fun five days that was.. well six including setting up , standing around all weekend and then ripping it all down today. No, sorry no full report here about the show, but we did keep things rolling through our Instagram account. It was however a fantastic event with everything to satisfy a little boy’s poster collection and then some. As per usual, we met some new folks, had lots of chats and caught up with familiar faces.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello and introduce yourselves. It’s always good to put faces to names and to see who’s out there. We’d also like to sincerely thank Gary and the guys at TT Motorcycles for loaning us the CR750 from Tank issue 01 for the whole weekend. It certainly was a crowd-puller, so business as usual there.
